G is for Giraffe

Materials:
giraffe template, printed and cut out
a paper lunch bag
yellow construction paper
crayons
scissors
glue

Colton had fun making this cute puppet. He hasn't been feeling well today so we just made it simple. The directions are for a more detailed puppet.

Today I also taught Colton the letter "G." I printed out The G is for Giraffe coloring page in Oopsey Daisy's G is for Green Packet (Click here is download it.) I found for St. Patrick's Day.

My Teddy Bear Adventures

Today in school we had a teddy bear party. My mom gave Colton a bag full of fun activities for our party. Daddy was home today so he got to join in on our fun. We also couldn't forget Colt's teddy bear Buddy who has become a member of our family.

We first read the three books by: Jez Albrough that was provided:
Where's My Teddy?
It's The Bear
My Friend Bear

Then we had fun acting out parts of the books. Here are the suggestions from the kit:
1. Walk slowly and sadly around the room, looking like we lost our teddy.
2. Jump and shake like Eddie was feeling when saw Bear.
3.Walk on all fours and sob like a big bear who lost his teddy.
4. Run as fast as you can away from something scary.
5. Find a stuffed animal or doll and make it talk
6. Laugh hard and long like you are really happy.

Last but not least Colton made his very own Freddy the teddy bear. The kit provided a pattern but it's easy to come up with one of your own. You also could print out this bear template from First School
